These test strips provide a rapid and easy measure of the MEC to enable optimal reuse of CIDEX OPA Solution for high-level disinfection. The ortho-phthalaldehyde concentration of CIDEX OPA Solution during its use-life must be verified by the CIDEX OPA Solution Test Strips prior to each use to determine the MEC of 0.3% is present. CIDEX OPA Solution is reusable for up to 14 days when monitored with CIDEX OPA Solution Test Strips. (60 per Bottle, 2 Bottles per Case)
Features
- To verify the efficacy of CIDEX OPA Solution.
- ASP recommends testing for the minimum effective concentration (MEC) prior to each use
- 1 second dip time
- 90 seconds read time
- Pad will be completely PURPLE to indicate effective solution
- If ANY BLUE remains on the pad apart from the top line, solution is ineffective and must be discarded
- For Cidex® OPA High-Level Disinfectant (20390, 20398)
- Single Use
How to test:
- Completely submerge indicating pad of the strip into solution.
- Hold for 1 second and remove.
- Do not shake strip
- Remove excess solution by standing the strip upright on a paper towel
- Read results at 90 seconds.
- Do not read past 90 seconds
