This is a sterile, non-pyrogenic intravenous fluid solution by Baxter, containing 5% dextrose in water (D5W). It is supplied in a 50 mL Mini-Bag® container and is intended for single-use. It serves as a source of water and calories and may also be used as a diluent for compatible parenteral medications.
