EZTest® Steam is a self-contained biological indicator consisting of a sealed glass ampoule containing a proprietary soybean-casein digest broth with a pH indicator Bromocresol Purple; a paper carrier inoculated with a sterilization resistant spore a clear polypropylene molded body. When the ampoule is crushed and incubated at the appropriate temperature, the organism will grow. The physical characteristic showing growth is a color change from purple to or toward yellow and/or turbidity.
